Chicago Cultural Center Exhibition Exploration

The Chicago Cultural Center is open 10 am - 5 pm everyday!

If you desire an in-person Exhibition Exploration for your group, please note that in your application.  We will reach out to you when we are able to accomodate your request.

Exhibition Explorations are free guided exploration of Chicago Cultural Center building architecture and history, current visual art exhibitions and the Learning Lab for Elementary and High School students.

 

  • Exhibition Explorations Specifics

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11 am–12:30 pm

  • Maximum 2 groups per day – maximum 15 students in each group

  • Complete a separate request for each group or class using the request a tour application link below. 

  • Book 4 weeks in advance

  • Confirmation within 7 business days

  • Led by DCASE staff or trained and passionate volunteer docents.

  • Requests are filled to the best of our ability given limited staff and resources.

  • On-Site Tour Accessibility

    • Tours are active engagements requiring movement throughout the building for 45 to 60 minutes 

    • Ramps and elevators provide full access throughout the building

    • Wheelchair loans are available on a first come, first served basis.

    • Requests for accomodations can be made in your application notes or by reaching out directly via VolunTours@cityofchicago (dot) org

    • Touch tour experiences can be created for blind or low vision guests on request and are also offered specifically periodically.  Reach out to VolunTours@cityofchicago.org for more info.

    • Tours are available in English, Spanish and ASL. Language requests are made via the tour request application.
